THE INFLUENCE OF COMPENSATION, COMMUNICATION AND JOB CHARACTERISTICS OF JOB SATISFACTION EDUCED IN PERSON ORGANIZATIONAL FIT (Case Study on PT. Enta Semarang Employees)

Abstract


The problem of job satisfaction is more important than the Person Organization Fit problem, because the
Person Organization Fit is a measure that employees and the company can work well. This study aims to
determine the effect of Compensation, Communication, Job Characteristics, on Job Satisfaction and mediated
by Person Organization Fit. This research was conducted at the company PT. Enta Semarang.
The population in this study amounted to 54 employees, the total sample used was total sampling. Data
collected by questionnaire. This study uses quantitative analysis with multiple linear regression by partial path
hypothesis testing (t test). Respondent's response to compensation is in the medium category for employees of
PT. Enta Semarang, the company is expected to provide compensation that can increase employee job
satisfaction.
The results showed that: (1) Compensation variables had a positive and significant effect on Person
Organization Fit variables, (2) Communication Variables had a positive and significant effect on Person
Organization Fit variables, (3) Job Characteristics variables had a positive and significant effect on Person
Organization Fit variables. , (4) Compensation Variables have a positive and significant effect on the variable
Job Satisfaction, (5) Communication Variables have a positive and significant effect on the Job Satisfaction
variable, (6) Job Characteristics Variables have a positive and significant effect on the variable Job
Satisfaction, (7) Person Variable Fit positive and significant effect on the variable Job Satisfaction. And there is
a partial influence between (8) Compensation on Satisfaction with Non-mediated Person Organization Fit, (9)
Communication on Job Satisfaction is also not Mediated by Person Organization Fit, and (10) Job
Characteristics of Job Satisfaction is not mediated by Person Organization Fit.
