Abstract


Morale is a situation that reflect the mental state or behavior of indivuduals who pose happy atmosphere which will encourage each individual to do their work been set. Many factors are thought to affect employee morale in the work include supervision, compensation and non-physical work environment. This research aims to determine the effect of supervision, compensation and non-physical work environment together on employee morale at PT. Hero Supermarket Tbk Branch Superdome Semarang.

The population in this study were all employees of PT. Hero Supermarket Tbk Branch Superdome Semarang as many as 164 people. The sample used in this study as many as 62 people. The sampling technique used convinance sampling. Statistical analysis was conducted on the multiple linear regression and hypothesis testing.

Based on the analysis of data it can be concluded, there is a significant positive effect on morale among supervision, it is proved t (2,558)> t table (1,671) or sig t 0,013 <0,05, thus H1 accepted. There is a significant positive effect on the morale of compensation, it is proved t (3,037)> t table (1,671) or sig t (0,004) <0,05, thus H2 diterima. There is a significant positive effect among non-physical work environment on morale, this is evidenced t (2,507)> t table (1,671) or sig t (0,015)<0,05, thus H3 diterima. There is a significant positive effect between supervision, compensation and non-physical work environment together on morale, this is evidenced F count (39,742)> F table (2,764) or sig F (0,000) <0,05, thus H4 diterima. The coefficient of determination is equal to 0,656 which means that the variation changes affected morale supervision, compensation and non-physical work environment by 65,6%, while the remaining 34,4% is influenced by other factors beyond the research.
