EFFECT OF SELF EFFICACY AND EMPOWERMENT OF EMPLOYEES OF COMPETENCE IN IMPROVING THE PERFORMANCE OF EMPLOYEES WORKING IN SATUAN POLISI PAMONG PRAJA KOTA SEMARANG

Abstract


Satuan Polisi Pamong Praja Kota Semarang experiencing problems related to work competencies owned by employees. Low competencies owned by employees working in  Satuan Polisi Pamong Praja Kota Semarang is a low impact on employee performance is indicated by a decrease in the target and the realization of the work program of the agency from 2012 to 2014. The formulation of the problem in this research  is how to improve the performance of employees in Satuan Polisi Pamobg Praja Kota Police Semarang .The population in this research were all employees in Satuan Polisi Pamong Praja Kota Semarang, amounting to 255 people. Sampling was done by using simple random sampling technique, which is based on calculations using the formula Slovin showed no 71 survey respondents. The analysis technique used is the Two Stage Least Square ( 2SLS ) and goodness of fit test. Based on the results of data processing, it is known variables employee empowerment dominant influence on work competence, where the magnitude of the regression coefficient is 0.452 and the positive direction . Goodness of fit test results showed a partial employee empowerment variables provide a positive and significant effect on work competence, because the t value for 6381 > t table 1.66724. Simultaneously, the variable self-efficacy and empowerment of employees and a significant positive impact on work competence, because the calculated F value 20 257 > F Table 3.13 . Variable job competence and a significant positive impact on employee performance, where the value t unstandardized predicted value of work competence of 6933 > t table 1.66724 .  Keywords : self-efficacy , empowerment of employees , work competence and performance of employees
