ABSTRACT
This research aims to determine the influence of human resource development and
the work environment on the performance of employees who work as employees at the
Semarang City Health Service, both directly and indirectly through motivation as an
intervening variable. The population used in the research were all employees who
worked as employees at the Semarang City Health Service, both State Civil Apparatus
and Non-State Civil Apparatus withca totalcof 163cemployees, withia samplingitechnique
usingithe censusimethod orisaturatedisample, soithe numberiof samplesiused wasi115
respondents.bThe databsource usedbwas primarybdata, withba questionnairebdata
collectionbmethod. Thebanalysis techniquebused isbpathbanalysis. Thebresearchbresults
showbthat humanbresource developmentbhas abpositive andbsignificant effectbon
motivation,mand themwork environmentmhas ampositive andmsignificantmeffectmon
motivation.wHuman resourcewdevelopment haswa positivewand significantweffectwon
employeebperformance, thebwork environmentbhas abpositive andbsignificant effectbon
employeeiperformance, andimotivation hasia positive.and significant.effect on.employee
