Abstract


P.T. Sandaya Eka Primasta is a cosmetics and toiletries distributor company. P.T. Sandaya Eka Primasta experienced a problem, where the organizational commitment of
employees to the company was low. It is suspected that this is motivated by the lowjobcharacteristics and quality of work life of employees. The formulation of the probleminthis research is how the management of P.T. Sandaya Eka Primasta seeks to increaseunderstanding of job characteristics and the quality of employee work life in their workenvironment, by including the variable job satisfaction as a moderating variable. The population in this study were all employees of PT. Sandaya Eka Primastanumbered 100 people, and the sampling technique used was the census method, wherethe entire population was taken as the research sample. The data analysis techniquesused are Multiple Linear Regression and Moderated Regression Analysis (MRA). The results of hypothesis testing show that the calculated t value of the variable jobcharacteristics and quality of work life partially and simultaneously has a positive andsignificant impact on organizational commitment, job satisfaction weakens the impact
of job characteristics on organizational commitment and job satisfaction strengthensthe impact of quality of work life on organizational commitment. It would be better if the management of P.T. Sandaya eka Primasta seeks toincrease employees' understanding of their job characteristics, because this variablehas the greatest impact on organizational commitment when compared to the qualityof
work life.
