PENGARUH LINGKUNGAN KERJA DAN DISIPLIN KERJA TERHADAP KINERJA KARYAWAN DENGAN MOTIVASI KERJA SEBAGAI VARIABEL INTERVENING PADA PT VASA SARWAHITA SEMARANG
Abstract
variable on employee performance at PT Vasa Sarwahita Semarang, as well as the work environment and work discipline. The approach used is a quantitative approach. The number of respondents was 65
people. To determine the mediation effect, the analysis methods used were the Sobel test, path analysis, t-test hypothesis testing, coefficient of determination, and multiple linear regression.
The results of this study indicate that work motivation (Z) is positively and significantly influenced by the work environment (X1) and work discipline (X2). This is supported by the results of the t-test which shows a t value of 0.713 for the Work Environment (X1), a significance value of 0.010 or less than 0.05, and a t-table value of 0.67840. Furthermore, the t-table value for Work Discipline (X2) is 1.785 with a significance value of 0.029 or less than 0.05. In addition, the path test produces a significance value of 0.000 <0.05 for X1 and a significance value of 0.000 <0.05 for X2 (work discipline). Employee performance (Y) is significantly and positively influenced by the work
environment (X1) and work discipline (X2). The findings of the t-test show this; The calculated tvalues for Work Environment (X1) and Work Discipline (X2) were 4.051 and 2.649 respectively, with a t-table value of 0.67840 and a significance value of 0.000 or <0.05. In addition, the results of the path test produced a substantial direct effect with a significance value of X1 of 0.000 <0.05 and X2 of 0.010 <0.05.
With a significance value of 0.013 or less than 0.05, Work Motivation (Z) has a positive and significant influence on Employee Performance (Y). The positive and significant relationship between Work Environment (X1) and Employee Performance (Y) is mediated by Work Motivation (Z) which is an intervening variable. The results of the path analysis show that the work environment (X1) affects work motivation (Z) directly and indirectly with a total of 0.203 + 0.044317 = 0.247317.
Based on these facts, it can be concluded that Z is strongly influenced by X1 through Y indirectly, because the indirect effect is greater than the indirect effect. The positive and significant relationship
between Work Discipline (X2) and Employee Performance (Y) is mediated by Work Motivation (Z) which is an intervening variable. The results of the path analysis test show that there is a total direct
and indirect impact of 1.080938 (1.052 + 0.028938). Based on the calculation results and the known smaller direct impact, it can be concluded that X2 greatly influences Z indirectly through Y.
