EFFECT OF MOTIVATION AND MANAGERIAL ABILITY TO PERFORMANCE EMPLOYEE OF PT. STAR ALLIANCE INTIMATES SEMARANG

Abstract


Employee performance is the result or employee performance assessed in terms of quality and quantity based on labor standards set by the company. Performance (performance) is influenced by three factors: individual factors which consists of capabilities and skills, backgrounds and demographics. This study aimed to determine the effect of motivation and managerial ability on the performance of employees of PT. Star Alliance Intimates.The population in this study were employees of PT. Star Alliance Intimates, amounting to 318 people, with a sample of 123 people with a simple random sampling technique. Analysis of the data used to test the validity and reliability, the classical assumption test, multiple regression analysis and t-test and F testThe results showed no significant positive effect of the variable motivation on employee performance in PT. Star Alliance Intimates, with a regression coefficient of 0.321 and t value (3.746)> t table (1.960). There was a significant negative effect of variables on the performance of managerial ability of employees of PT Star Alliace Intimates, with a regression coefficient of 0.569 and t value (9.043)> t table (1.960). There was a significant effect of the variable motivation and managerial ability on employee performance in PT. Star Alliace Intimates, the calculated F value (51.832)> F table (3.07) and sign (0.000) <sign α (0.05). Advice can be given should the PT. Star Alliance Intimates increase employee motivation to reward or additional compensation if the employment targets set.   Keywords: motivation, managerial ability, performance
