Abstract




This research aims to determine the effect of work ability and work discipline on
employee performance with retention as an intervening variable at PT Megaprint Citra Mandiri
Semarang. The method used in this research is quantitative. The population in this study was 94
employee members at PT Megaprint Citra Mandiri. The data collection technique was carried out
through a questionnaire containing a questionnaire using a closed method and distributed to
employees of PT Megaprint Citra Mandiri Semarang. The sampling technique used was
convenience sampling. The data processed is primary data with the data source in this research
being respondents, namely 94 employees at PT Megaprint Citra Mandiri. The data analysis
technique used in this research is multiple regression analysis techniques. The research results
obtained are that the work ability factor has no effect and is not positive on employee retention at
PT Megaprint Citra Mandiri Semarang, the work discipline factor has a positive effect on
employee retention at PT Megaprint Citra Mandiri Semarang, the work ability factor has a
positive effect on employee performance at PT Megaprint Citra Mandiri Semarang, Work
discipline factors have a positive effect on employee performance at PT Megaprint Citra Mandiri
Semarang, Employee retention factors have a positive effect on employee performance at PT
Megaprint Citra Mandiri Semarang, Employee retention factors can mediate a positive
relationship between work ability factors and employee performance, Factors Employee retention
can positively mediate the relationship between work discipline factors and employee
performance.
