EFFECT OF ENVIRONMENT, COMMUNICATION AND LEADERSHIP ON THE EMPLOYEE PERFORMANCE OF DINAS CIPTA KARYA DAN TATA RUANG BIDANG PERUMAHAN PROVINSI JAWA TENGAH

Abstract


This research examined whether work environment, communication and leadership affected employee’s performance of  Dinas Cipta Karya dan Tata Ruang Propinsi Semarang, one District Institution.

Subject of the research was employees in the institution. The number of sample is 73 employees that did not held structural position in the institution. Instrument of questionnaire was used to get data of the research. Linear regression analysis was applied to examine the hypotheses of the research.

Result of the analysis prove that work environment had significant impact to performance. The better  work  environment, the better employee’s performance. Communication also had significant impact to performance. The better communication, the better employee’s performance. Leadership also had significant impact to performance. The better leadership, the better employee’s performance. Overall, work environment, communication and leadership affected significantly to performance at about determination coefficient of 55.40%. The result gave implication that institution should to improve the work environment as well as physical and non physical environment. Good communication between employees and supervisor and good leadership also should be improved to support the employees.
