EFFECT OF CAREER DEVELOPMENT OPPORTUNITY , EMPOWERMENT OF EMPLOYEES AND WORK CULTURE ON THE PERFORMANCE OF EMPLOYEES SEKRETARIAT DAERAH KOTA SEMARANG

Abstract


Performance of employees in Sekretariat Daerah Kota Semarang is still low, the indication appears on the number of mutations / transfer of staff to sectors in the region and outside the region Semarang city  totaled pretty much is 47 employees, where the mutation decision aimed at staff who have a background and performance less good. Allegedly poor performance of employees in Sekretariat Daerah Kota Semarang is due to low career development opportunities, employee empowerment and work culture that developed in the agency have a negative impact. The formulation of the in this research is how to improve the performance of employees in Sekretariat Daerah Kota Semarang.The analysis method used in this research is multiple linear regression and hypothesis testing and simultaneous partial , in which survey respondents amounted to 78 people . The results showed that all resaearch variables used instrumens valid and all research variables were reliable. Hypothesis testing found that the variable career development opportunities and empowerment of employees gave positive and significant impact on the performance of employees, because the value of t respectively by 3.659 and 3.179 > t table 1.66515. Variables culture didn’t provide a positive and significant effect on the performance of employees, because the t variable work culture 1.389 < t table 1.66515. Variable career development opportunities, employee empowerment and work culture simultaneously gave positive and significant effect on the performance of employees, because the value of F count counted 19 079 > value F table 2.73 .  Keywords :  career development opportunities, employee empowerment, work culture and employee performance
